All of my exes
All of my exes
from €390.00

Year: 2021

The photograph "All of my exes" depicts the close-up of a girl's green bikini-clad buttocks, with the sky as a backdrop. The names Alexander, Philip, Isabella, and Sebastian are tattooed on her buttocks, with all but the last one crossed out. This photograph tells the story of a character who is a hopeless romantic, believing blindly in love and tattooing their partner's name every time they fall in love. However, the relationships always end badly, and the character keeps making the same mistake. The photograph portrays the character as sexualized and objectified, with the face hidden and the perspective from below, adding an aggressive element to the image. The kitsch aesthetic of the photograph adds to its provocative nature.

However, there is a twist to the story: it is not certain that this character actually has these tattoos on their buttocks. It may be just a rumor. The tattoos could be on a different part of the body, or they may not exist at all. The photograph explores the double standards that society has towards promiscuity, particularly when it comes to women. It is a commentary on the way in which society judges and stigmatizes people, particularly those who defy gender roles and expectations. The hidden heart and the serpent ring on the character's finger add to the overall theme of carnal sin and temptation.

If I was a rich girl
If I was a rich girl
from €500.00

Year: 2020

The artwork shows us a rich woman licking a stamp, however, visually it plays around with the ambiguity of not knowing if it is really a stamp or it is LSD.

This ambiguity and duality is complemented by using the character of Mickey Mouse within this context of being a child character used in the same message of good/innocent vs. bad/rebel.

The housewife
The housewife
from €2,500.00

Year: 2022

“When I was very young I discarded the idea of being a housewife. I don't want anyone to be confused, I have nothing against them and it seems to me to be as honorable job as any other. It just isn't for me. At a very young age I dreamed of being an artist and traveling around the world. I imagined a bohemian life, almost always on a plane and with a different apartment every week in each country. Nor did I see me with children. Not married. It wasn't very compatible with the rest of my plans. At most, one lover in each city, like the sailors. However, fate is capricious and sometimes takes you down paths you can't even imagine. Having children, a stable partner and getting married no longer seems so far-fetched to me. I don't want a lover in every harbour and I prefer a house in a good city to call home. Still, I don't think my childhood dreams were too far from what I want now. I still hope to fly all over the planet thanks to my work.I was a housewife for a while and I have never felt so trapped. I kept remembering that girl imagining herself spreading her art around the world. That's what I wanted to talk about in this photograph. I show myself at that moment, with a supposedly “luxury” life but it wasn't mine. In a beautiful and colorful garden, and yet I am monochromatic and lifeless, trying to recover, in some way, the rebelliousness that I once had.”

This work talks about the over control that currently exists towards population. Data traffic through social media and our image captured by security cameras, makes it impossible for anyone to be anonymous. Already used to it, this "brother" watches us closer every day and may soon even haunt us.

Sugar Picnic
Sugar Picnic
from €2,600.00

Year: 2022

“"Snorting candy like it's coke." This was my Messenger nickname when I was 16 years old.

I'm not sure at what point I became aware that I was addicted to sugar. I don't smoke, hardly drink, and don't do drugs. Just sugar. It gives me so much pleasure.

I remember being very young and ingesting alarming amounts of sugar for a snack. The supermarket cashier was scandalized because I had wiped out all their supplies. There was a day when there were no cookies at home, and I went into a frenzy. I ended up eating the sugar from the coffee jars to calm down.

Television was my second mother, I suppose like it was for all kids in the 90s before it was replaced by the internet. Every so often, there were commercials featuring kids offering all kinds of candies that we would later see at every birthday party.

Years later, the government became concerned about childhood obesity and released an ad encouraging kids to eat fruit. I was never overweight, so I guess that ad wasn't for me.

With adolescence came magazines like Bravo, Super Pop, Loka... I wish I could remember which one, as summer approached, had a group of teenagers in swimsuits on the cover with a headline that read "Operation Bikini." It gave me a tip that I still use today: "If you want to lose weight and get the urge to snack, remember that it will make you gain weight when you head to the fridge, and your hunger will subside."

As a child, I was taught to consume sugar in large quantities. As a teenager, they advised against it. Capitalism wanted me to be a consumer as a child, beautiful as a young adult.

Now that I'm an adult, I have a severe sugar addiction. I used to consume 2 chocolate bars a day for a while. Now I need a piece of chocolate after every meal.

I even had a partner who would reward me with candy whenever I did something he liked.

I'd love to quit, but I swear I can't.

Even today, in the absence of cookies, I search for sugar cubes for my coffee.”

Seville, 1987
Seville, 1987
from €2,700.00

Year: 2023

“I have a lot of chess-related anecdotes, but my favorite one isn’t even mine.

It’s a family story.

1987, Seville. My parents were there on their honey moon. At the same time, The Chess World Championship was taking place in a theater: Kárpov vs Kaspárov.

Being keen-chess fans, the newly-weds decided to go along.

At that time, my mom was simply stunning. On the night in question, she was wearing a tight red dress, high heels, with Ferrari red lips and long black curly hair.

Inside the theater, you could hear a pin drop and the silence was broken by the sound of my mother’s heels. Kárpov turned his head and his eyes fixed upon her, lingering there for a few seconds.

A security guard abruptly intervened, pleading with my mom to be more discreet.

In the end, Kaspárov manged to refocus and win the match.

Maybe he was inspired, maybe Kárpov was having a bad day… in my family, we all like to say that it was my mom’s fault. And I choose to believe it.”

Separation of property
Separation of property
from €2,700.00

Year: 2022

Introducing "Separation of Property," a vivid and evocative self-portrait that artfully challenges preconceptions and invites deeper reflection. In this photograph, a woman sits in a bar, sipping a glass of wine, with a stark presence - a loaded pistol resting casually on the table. At her feet, an open suitcase overflows with banknotes.

This arresting image is a potent commentary on a form of gender violence often concealed: economic abuse. It narrates the compelling story of a woman who reclaims her financial independence and escapes an oppressive relationship.

"Separation of Property" is intentionally designed to provoke a certain impression. The elements of the pistol, the suitcase brimming with money, and her femme fatale aesthetic might lead one to perceive her as a villain or a criminal. This misdirection is deliberate, inviting viewers to embody the judgmental response that victims of economic abuse too often face. It prompts us to question our own biases and preconceptions.

This photograph is a visual story of empowerment and resilience, reminding us that appearances can be deceiving. "Separation of Property" challenges us to look beyond the surface and acknowledge the strength of those who have navigated the complex terrain of economic abuse.

Honey lips
from €390.00

Year: 2013

Within this frame, a young woman takes center stage, her face a canvas adorned with captivating details. Freckles scatter across her skin like constellations, imbuing her with an irresistible charm. Her eyes, shimmering in shades of azure, hold a universe of mysteries waiting to be explored.

But it is her lips that steal the spotlight. They become a portal to a realm of delectable enchantment, where the irresistible allure of honey beckons.

A delicate visitor graces this enchanting scene - a tiny bee perched upon her lips, as if drawn to the irresistible nectar that lies within. It is a moment frozen in time, capturing the delicate balance between human and nature, a gentle dance of attraction and connection.

Inspired by the iconic lips of Marilyn Monroe immortalized by Irving Penn, "Honey Lips" takes a daring leap into the unknown. Our protagonist embraces her wild side, adorning her lips with golden honey to entice the whimsical dance of bees.

from €2,000.00

Year: 2023

“This limited edition photographic print is a striking self-portrait that captures the artist's fascination with drawing and mark-making. Set against a black and white backdrop, the artist's body is adorned with intricate, blue pen-drawn designs, creating the illusion of a canvas covered in tattoos. The image is a powerful reminder of the artist's childhood, when they would scribble on anything they could find, honing their craft and filling notebooks with a mix of musings and drawings.

The photograph is a testament to the power of memory and the beauty of imperfection. Each mark on the artist's body tells a unique story, with some holding significant meaning, while others simply represent moments in time. The irony of the piece lies in the fact that, in today's digital age, personal diaries often take the form of social media posts, text messages, and voice notes. That’s the reason why this piece is not unique, but limited edition.

This limited edition print is an opportunity to own a piece of art that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. It is a celebration of the human impulse to create, to leave our mark on the world, and to embrace the imperfect beauty of our own stories.”

House of vice
House of vice
from €390.00

Year: 2016

Welcome to a world where the realms of past and present intertwine, where the whimsy of Alice in Wonderland meets the opulence of Rococo. Behold a captivating photograph, set within the grandeur of a Rococo-style house, as a surreal tapestry unfolds before your eyes.

In this expansive open shot, immerse yourself in a visual feast of captivating details. A girl with vibrant pink hair takes center stage, an embodiment of playful rebellion and fearless individuality. Her gaze is obscured by a mysterious black rabbit mask, an enigmatic guise that conceals both her identity and intentions.

Dressed in an extravagant gown reminiscent of Velázquez's iconic "Las Meninas," she becomes a modern-day muse, channeling the spirit of art history into the present. Her voluminous dress cascades around her, an ethereal whirlwind of fabric that captures the essence of a bygone era.

But there's more to this enchanting composition. As your eyes wander towards the ground, a mesmerizing tapestry of ivy and creeping tendrils unveils itself. The greenery forms an otherworldly carpet. It hints at the entrance to a rabbit hole, an extraordinary portal to a hidden wonderland.

This photograph serves as a visual homage to Lewis Carroll's beloved tale, "Alice in Wonderland." It reimagines the concept of the rabbit hole, transforming it into a Rococo-inspired house buried beneath the earth's surface. It invites us to embrace the allure of the unknown, to venture into a realm where reality and imagination entwine.

Within this extraordinary vision, the house becomes a sanctuary of secrets, a dwelling beneath the ground where whimsy reigns supreme. It beckons the curious, the daring souls who dare to venture beyond the confines of the ordinary.

Kintsugi-19
Sold Out
Kintsugi-19
from €585.00

Year: 2020

Inspired by the millenial Kintsugi technique, this photograph represents the fragility of the human body, covering it with the traditional patterns of ancient Chinese porcelain and coating the broken pieces with gold.

This gold emerges from the mask and spreads through the body, drawing lungs with its cracks. With this, it is implied that the mask protects our respiratory system to face the current threat that coronavirus represents.

In my head

Part of The Stages of a Heartbreak series. This photograph heads that series. Inspired by the popular Spanish saying "have many birds on your head" which means "to have a lot of imagination", this work talks about the principle of falling in love. From that moment in which we see the loved one as someone perfect and we idealize him to the point of not being fully aware of reality.
