VIKTORIA ANDREEVA

Viktoria Andreeva is a fine art photographer known for her surreal creations that center around the human body. Her distinctive approach involves transforming the figure, often creating an otherworldly atmosphere that blurs the line between reality and illusion, natural and artificial. As a former ballet dancer, Viktoria’s vision is deeply rooted in her fascination with the  nude body as a means of expression. Through her works, she questions human behaviour and the intersection between past, present and future. Some of the recurring narratives in her work are identity, human duality, and metamorphosis. 

Born and raised in Bulgaria, in 2015 she moved to Vienna to study Photography and Audiovisual Media at the College of Arts “die Graphische ”. During that time, she finalized a photography book project in collaboration with professional ballet dancers from the Vienna State Opera. 

In recognition of her artistic achievements, Andreeva has received many prestigious awards, including a Gold medal in the Fine Art/Nudes category at the Trierenberg Super Circuit - one of the largest photography competitions in the world. In 2022, she won a Gold Medal in the World’s Top 10 Fine Art Photographers, which was judged by the esteemed panel of the One Eyeland Awards. Her work has been featured in exhibitions in Paris, New York, Rome, Milan, Vienna, Budapest, and beyond.

Her most recent accolade includes winning the esteemed “I am You” Open Call competition in the Photography category, a collaboration between XIV Florence Biennale, Art Market & Lens Magazine. At the event held in Florence, Italy, she showcased her series “Cosmic Beings“ and was distinguished with the prestigious title of Guest of Honour. In 2023, she was also selected by Forbes Bulgaria’s 30 Under 30 List and recognized as one of the leading figures in the art field.
