OLLE NORDELL

Olle’s background is in advertising, where he worked as a copywriter and creative director before increasingly turning his focus toward photography and visual storytelling.

Today, his work centers on documenting people, cultures and landscapes around the world. Through long-form journeys and assignments in remote regions, he explores the relationship between humans and their environments, capturing moments that reveal both the diversity and common threads of life across continents.

His photographic work has taken him to Antarctica, Greenland, North and South America, and on extended solo overland expeditions across Africa. Whether traveling by motorcycle through Patagonia or spending time in isolated communities, his approach is driven by curiosity, patience and a desire to create authentic visual narratives.

Alongside personal projects, Olle collaborates with selected organizations, companies and institutions, including the United Nations, to document cultures, environments and social change. His images are published internationally and have been exhibited in a variety of contexts, from editorial features and campaigns to galleries and public exhibitions.

His work has received recognition in competitions such as Årets Bild, Guldägget and Ocean Photographer of the Year.

Travels is a collection of photographs from these journeys — a visual record of places, people and encounters across the world. Together, the images form an ongoing exploration of movement, connection and the stories that emerge along the way.
