WE HAVE A DREAM
AN EXHIBITION ABOUT COURAGE, COMPASSION AND HUMAN RIGHT
ON SHOW IN LUND SWEDEN 5 JUNE – 20 SEPTEMBER 2026
WELCOME TO THE OPENING 5 JUNE
Welcome to the Opening at Domkyrkoplatsen Lund 5 June, 5:00 PM
2026 marks ten years since We Have A Dream premiered at Fotografiska in Stockholm. Since then, this travelling photography exhibition has been seen by hundreds of thousands of visitors.across the Nordic countries.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the outdoor edition of We Have A Dream will be presented at Cathedral Square (Domkyrkoplatsen) in Lund from 5 June to 20 September 2026.
How much are you willing to endure for your own rights — and for the rights of others?
Some people are prepared to risk their lives for their rights and for their dreams.
THE EXHIBITION
WE HAVE A HAVE A DREAM is not a story about saints or superheroes — no one here is without flaws. What sets these individuals apart is simply that, at some point in their lives, they stepped outside their comfort zones to create change.
In a time marked by war, climate crisis, and weakening democracies, the need for role models is greater than ever. The exhibition WE HAVE A DREAM brings together people from all walks of life, from everyday heroes to Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
WE HAVE A DREAM is a unique travelling exhibition and a book. Without the backing of any organization, the initiators, Albert Wiking and Oscar Edlund, have gathered voices from around the world — voices that speak of standing up against injustice and of the very real possibility of making a difference.
Since premiering at Fotografiska in Stockholm in 2016, WE HAVE A DREAM has toured Sweden, Norway, and Finland, and has been seen by hundreds of thousands of visitors. At Domkyrkoplatsen, 58 portraits are now on display — a selection from the 115 participants featured in the original indoor exhibition. Each portrait is accompanied by a short story taken from the award-winning book
WE HAVE A DREAM. The exhibition is a document of our times in which every voice carries equal weight. Nobel Peace Prize laureates, artists, activists, writers, and politicians such as the Dalai Lama, Malala Yousafzai, Quincy Jones, Pussy Riot, Patti Smith, Zara Larsson, Garry Kasparov, Amos Oz, Marina Abramovic´, Jason Diakité, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg — some of the world’s most influential people — are presented side by side with unknown, committed individuals who want to make a difference.

CUSTOM INSTALLATION
An example where there was no art gallery large enough to display, we used a circular church from the 17th century and created a unique gallery over a summer. The construction is completely independent and requires no intervention in the protected interior.
