AN EXHIBITION ABOUT COURAGE, COMPASSION AND HUMAN RIGHT
THIS EXHIBITION IS AVAILABLE FOR RENT IN SWEDISH
THE PROJECT
We Have a Dream is essentially a photography project, but one that goes beyond the portrait frames. The initiators – Albert Wiking, photographer and Oscar Edlund, interviewer – wished to contribute to a more livable world by showcasing some of the people who fight to make a difference.
It's an exhibition about courage, humanity and about human and democratic rights. It includes 14 people who have received the Nobel Peace Prize and several of the strongest fighters in the world for these issues. For unfortunate reasons around the world, it has become more urgent than ever.
Among those portrayed are members of the punk band Pussy Riot and the Chinese regime critic and artist Ai Weiwei – who have fought for democracy. Also portrayed is the youngest Nobel Peace Award winner Malala Yousafzai who is fighting for girls’ right to education. The project also includes human rights lawer Dr. Navi Pillay, musicians Annie Lennox, Quincy Jones, Zara Larsson, Patti Smith and Timbuktu, model and actress Ruby Rose, writers Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Yeonmi Park, as well as UN functionaries Anders Kompass and Jan Eliasson. The texts in the book and exhibition is written by journalist Daniel Rydén.

THE OUTDOOR PART
The outdoor version of the exhibition consists of 48 pictures printed on aluminum. These are mounted on square pillars that are illuminated. The appearance of the installation varies in place, but they are usually set in a gemonetric shape that gives the feeling of walking around in a gallery.
CUSTOM INSTALLATION
An example where there was no art gallery large enough to display, we used a circular church from the 17th century and created a unique gallery over a summer. The construction is completely independent and requires no intervention in the protected interior.
THE DREAM ROOM INSTALLATION
All the over 100 stories in the WHAD exhibition have been recorded for listenimg. These recordings are available in the "Dream Room". This installation with a 55” touchscreen is ethier placed in the exhibition or stand alone.
EDUCATING THE YOUNG
The city of Hjo in Västra Götaland will be the first one to use the exhibition to create a greater understanding and commitment to the issues the city will work on with the current Agenda 2030, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Issues such as courage and humanity in the work to create a better sustainable world apply to everyone. The exhibition is an excellent platform to educate and create commitment. The "I have a dream" project is a project where all the children in Hjo will work with their own dreams and give these impressions a story. During late part of the spring 2021 they will have their own exhibition with their own dreams.
“Kids are undeniably our future.
That's what we should give all the attention to if we want to get a better world.”
