DIVIDING LINE

Dividing Line is an art project by Lara Zankoul from Lebanon. Over several months, she photographed a series of pictures featuring a mermaid in an aquarium to depict the dividing line between different perspectives and the concept of being free and independent.

A dividing line is more than just a boundary—it’s a marker that separates ideas, spaces, or even states of mind. In life, it often represents a turning point, a moment when we step from one phase to another, carrying memories but leaving certain aspects behind.
