ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
It is an inspiring story of international collaboration, technology, polar observations and human curiosity and determination to understand our ever-changing planet.
It includes groundbreaking field and lab work by leading European institutions and the latest satellite images and data from Copernicus Sentinel and Cryosat, two of the European Space Agency's most ambitious and significant Earth observation programs. It showcases the remarkable efforts of the scientific community to gather valuable scientific data, illustrated with award-winning photography.
"I'm proud to be able to show these images in Copenhagen, an important academic centre for polar and climate research, in particular in connection with the 2024 EU Polar Science Week," says Lukasz Larsson Warzecha, the photographer.
A heartfelt thank you to the Royal Danish Library and BLOX for graciously hosting the exhibition. Their support has been invaluable in bringing this important event to the public.
We also thank Copenhagen City Council and DTU—Technical University of Denmark for their generous assistance in making this exhibition a reality.
