ON SHOW NEXT TIME AT
FALSTERBO PHOTO ART MUSEUM.
MARCH 28 – SEPTEMBER 30 2025
THE INDOOR EXHIBITION
Wonderland is a beautiful story about how deep grief can be turned into a moving life story that leaves no person untouched. It has previously been shown at several large museums and galleries around the world. The scenes are entirely real, where all the costumes and props are meticulously handmade by the artist herself. Sometimes it has taken 5 months to stage and shoot a single image.
We have constructed an outdoor part + a major indoor part for this exhibition with soundscapes, films and behind the scenes footage to guide the visitor through the entire story. Here, they can experience the magic and beauty of these stunning pictures at a large scale in the magical castle of Läckö. The outdoor presentation of the exhibition is free for visitors and is a way to introduce the pictures in an environment where they were once created, surrounded by nature and the forest, where Kirsty feels most at home
THE CASTLE
Läckö Castle is an impressive baroque castle situated on a peninsula by the shore of Lake Vänern in Västergötland, Sweden. The castle has medieval origins and began as a bishop's fortress in the 13th century. Over the years, it has been rebuilt and expanded, particularly during the ownership of Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie in the 17th century, who gave the castle its current appearance with rich baroque details.
