THE DIVINE NUDE

EXHIBITION REIMAGINING THE NUDE AS AN ABSTRACT CANVAS OF HUMAN TRANSFORMATION.

WITH
VIKTORA ANDREEVA

BACKGROUND
“As a lifelong dancer, movement and body language have been my most instinctive forms of expression. My journey in dance, shaped by moments of inspiration, resilience, and the physical challenges of injury has only deepened my fascination with the body’s capacity to convey emotion and to heal. This exploration has led me to work the nude body as a canvas for transformation—sculpting it beyond its physical form into something otherworldly.”

THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition The Divine Nude is an immersive exploration of identity, human duality, and metamorphosis through the abstraction of the nude body. Each piece portrays the tension between contrasting forces that define human experience—strength and fragility, reality and illusion, balance and collapse—revealing the beauty within these states.

Through the artist’s transformative process, the identity is stripped and the nude body reimagined, moving beyond its natural state. The exhibition invites viewers into the abstract world of shapes and colours, where the nude form serves as a sculptural symbol of shared human emotions.

  • The exhibition consists of 30 - 40 works, which are thematically separated into 4 different rooms or sections.

The exhibition is curated for medium - to large exhibition spaces.

The artworks are part of her limited edition series, and can be displayed in different sizes depending on the space.

Throughout the show, there will be ambient music that guides the viewer through each of the rooms

ROOM / SECTION 1

FRAGMENTS OF SELF

In the exhibition’s first room, soft tones and intimate self-portraits depict life cycles, emphasizing themes of coexistence and the continuous search for balance. This creates an intimate, contemplative space where visitors are invited to engage deeply and reflectively with each piece. The setting is minimalistic yet immersive, featuring white walls that allow each artwork to breathe and stand out, fostering a sense of calm and focus.

This room showcases Viktoria’s earlier works, including pieces from her series Finding the Balance and Relay as well as select standalone works that form the foundation of her visual language.

In designing this space, the aim is to convey a sense of timelessness. The gentle interplay of soft pastel colors and organic, flowing forms—often presented within symbolic circles—explores the cycle of life, inviting visitors to step into a serene, meditative experience.

ROOM / SECTION 2

COSMIC BEINGS

The second room presents a contrast to the first, immersing visitors in a more monochromatic color scheme that features key works from the artist’s notable series, Cosmic Beings (2022) and Memories of the Past (2021). Here, the atmosphere shifts, as the vibrant dark green walls provide a rich backdrop that accentuates the clarity of the artworks.

ROOM / SECTION 3

BETWEEN EVERYTHING AND NOTHING

The third room shifts into a more darker and introspective ambiance, with deep-toned blue walls and directed lighting that isolates the works, creating a cinematic environment.

Three large pieces of the series titled Between Everything and Nothing are arranged on the surrounding walls. Each figure depicted in the artworks matches almost life-size human proportions, enhancing a sense of realism that feels tangible—yet subtly surreal, as if suspended between reality and dream.

This arrangement encourages visitors to move in a circular path, mirroring the series’ central theme: the continuous journey of self-discovery—an endless cycle of finding and losing oneself over and over again. This circular movement throughout the room embodies the fluidity of time and the continual evolution of identity.

In this intimate setting, ambient sounds envelop the space, while minimal light draws focus inward. Visitors are invited to lose themselves in the movement and scale of the human form, reflecting on their own journey of self-discovery.

ROOM / SECTION 4

TRACES OF TIME

The fourth and final room showcases the artworks from the series Traces of time 2024.

In this concept, the subject is isolated in its own micro world. Almost as if observed through a magnifying glass, each layer and scratch added to the skin surface marks mere fragments of our time on Earth.

Displayed on a grand scale, these works encourage an intimate exploration of the details, challenging our perceptions of reality and illusion. The elegant dark wooden frames enhance this experience, echoing the natural textures and earthy tones of the skin, creating a harmonious connection between the artworks and their materiality.
